Co-op Energy: Finalists in British Renewable Energy Awards

We’re proud to announce that we have been shortlisted as finalists in the Community category of the British Renewable Energy Awards.

We’ve been recognised for our Community Power Tariff that offers 100% community-run renewable energy projects around the UK.

Our community power projects bring together like-minded locals to invest in community generation projects, such as installing solar panels, wind turbines or water renewable energy. Each of these projects are owned and run by the communities they power.

It’s incredibly important to us to ensure that we’re working towards reducing climate change and generating clean energy that will benefit our planet for many years to come. Renewable energy produces zero waste, meaning there are no carbon emissions that can contribute to climate change or air pollution.

The Renewable Energy Awards are hosted by the Association for Renewable Energy and Clean Technology and are to celebrate the achievements of companies and individuals who are working in renewable or clean tech and pushing for change.

We’re really excited to celebrate the awards this year with all the other finalists in Birmingham on the 9th June at the Botanical Gardens! Follow us on our Facebook and Twitter for more updates.
