Your Co-op Energy and Octopus Energy Partnership Explained

Octopus App for Your Co-op Energy Customers

Track your Energy usage for the previous day, week, month and even year to unlock insights about when you're using your home energy. The energy usage graphs show the energy you’re using in kWh and £. You can toggle between the two in the top right corner of each graph.

When you choose £, you'll see a snapshot of your energy costs excluding VAT and daily standing charges. You can find your confirmed charges including VAT and standing charges on your statement.

Day view:

In the morning, you can tap ‘Day’ to look at your previous day’s usage, and you can flip back in time to compare your energy use day to day. This is only available if you’ve set your meter to take readings every 30 minutes and the charts are updated once a day.

Week view:

Tapping ‘Week’ will show your weekly usage (Monday to Sunday). Usage is shown per day in kWh or pounds and pence but you'll only be able to see this data if your meter takes half-hourly or daily readings.

Month view:

Tapping ‘Month’ will show your usage for each day starting from the 1st of the month. You can also view your usage for previous months.

Year view:

Tapping ‘Year’ will show your usage from month to month, a handy way to see your energy usage change throughout the seasons.

Free Electricity Sessions

Octopus will let you know via email when Free Electricity Sessions are taking place and all you need to do is let them know if you're opting in by clicking the button on the email. You will receive notice of a few hours to a few days ahead and you can use as much energy as you can (safely) during the session, we will then credit this back to your Octopus balance.

Last winter, 700,000 customers took part in Saving Sessions and reduced their electricity usage in over 10 sessions. Octopus will let you know the time of the session from a few hours to a day before, you use less electricity, and you'll receive Octopoints as a Thank You.
